“Some antique appraisers don’t have your best interest at heart. Sometimes they’ll appraise an item at a low price, knowing they want to buy it from you,” says Wood. “Another great thing about Dr. Lori is that she gives you an education on the appraising world and advises on red flags and things to stay away from.”
